SC Elementary 4th grade Learning Celbration
Ms. Wunschel's class shares their narrative and informative writing pieces about an animal using a defensive mechanism. Students wrote "Choose your ending" adventure stories with an animal of choice...listeners have an option to choose which ending they want to hear! How cool is that???
SC Elementary 3rd grade shares their Frogs (reading module) learning with 2nd grade. Students created an anthology of work including a study on different frogs, a 5 paragraph essay, illustration, and created a trading card.

Sac County Naturalist visited Mrs. Grieme's 3rd grade discussing Frogs in our area! This was a great real-life activity to accompany our reading unit!

On Saturday, 9 groups performed at State Speech in Spencer with 8 of those groups receiving a I rating. Out of those 8, Ridge View had 4 groups selected to perform at All-State that will be on Saturday, Feb. 22nd at ISU in Ames. Those 4 groups are Readers Theatre "The Act of Driving" (Sophia Keleher, Brody Bisenius, Elizabeth Schimmer, Ethan Brockman, Owen Barry, Addy Tesch, Valeria Najera, and Corvin Griffin), Short Film "An Open Letter" (Nora Pickhinke, Dramelle McCray, Evan Ramirez, Jordan Kluver, Bertram Hove, Gillian Chance, Mylee Dvorak, and Sarai Cervantes), Short Film "Imaginary Friends" (Elizabeth Schimmner, Mya Henningson, Ethan Brockman, Addy Tesch, Tailor Vincent, and Cora Tesch), and Short Film "Sarcasm 101" (Kiara Luscombe, Emma Mentzer, Mazee Henningson, Reese Hawthorne, Caleb Hagen, and Valeria Najera).
