Juniors and your families,

Coming up in October, all juniors will be required to take the ASVAB test. This test is a career aptitude test that will help students explore what skills they have and explore careers that are related to those skills. This test is administered by military testing personnel and can be used as military entrance testing, but no military commitment is required. This assessment has no bearing on any scholarship or college admission and should be treated like a tool for career exploration. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Mrs. Shever at kshever@rvraptors.org.

Tomorrow night's Homecoming Football game pre-show looks a little bit different this year!! We will be announcing our 2025-2026 Homecoming Grand Marshals and Court PRIOR to the start of the game at 6:40 pm. This will allow us to also have our spectacular High School Band and Dance Team perform during halftime!

It’s been a busy week in 8th-grade Skills at Ridge View Middle School! Students practiced sewing buttons, created lanyards, and even completed a fun project for the Schaller-Crestland recess kids. Lots of new skills were learned—great job, 8th grade!

Reminder that the Beginning Band Night meeting with Midbell Music is TONIGHT at 6:00 pm in the Galva school commons, for all GH and SC 5th graders interested in band. The meeting is intended for both students and parents. We will discuss some expectations as you start in the band program, Midbell will share what they offer for instrument rental and purchase options, you'll be able to place orders at the end of the meeting for instruments and all necessary supplies, and of course we'll answer any questions you have.
